Quartier Legumes, object, 2021
In January 2021 we began the construction of a mobile vegetable garden together with Darcy Neven, Mother of Zucchini and our inspiration for this project. First we built a strong base with pallets and car tires, afterwards we built the greenhouse on top using leftover wood and plastic sheets. An IBC container is placed in the middle, on the left and right side we installed two smaller garden beds. These are all filled with rotten wood, leafs, old manure and soil to make the perfect dirt cocktail for growing vegetables. Rainwater falls on the roof and is collected in a tank nearby, making it easy to water the plants. In this unit we decided to plant tomatos, eggplant and peppers.
